For the last 500 years, the locals of Nongriat in Meghalaya, India have grown several hundred bridges across the region’s numerous water channels. Some of the bridges extend over 100 feet in length and are strong enough to support more than 50 people at a time.

One of life’s greatest questions finally answered: What came first, the chicken or the egg?
“It had long been suspected that the egg came first but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first.”
It turns out there’s a protein, ovocledidin-17 (OC-17), that’s only found in the ovaries of chickens that is crucial to the formation of an egg’s shell.
OC-17 coverts calcium carbonate into calcite crystals, which in turn form the shell. No OC-17, no shell, and since OC-17 is only found in chicken ovaries, the chicken had to have come first.

All Natural Graffiti via e-pic
Unlike spray paint, moss graffiti is all natural and healthy to work with. You can paint words or images, and the moss fills in like magic! It’s easy as pie to whip up a batch of moss paint.
Here’s how, in your blender, combine:
- One can of cheap beer or 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- A few handfuls of moss
- One teaspoon of sugar
Blend until the mixture is smooth, and you’re ready to get painting! You can use a brush to paint your moss onto concrete walls, rocks, or brick. Mist the moss once a day to help it thrive, and soon your green graffiti will take hold! If you’re looking to take this project to the streets, use caution- we don’t want to be responsible for any vandalism charges!
